Niagara Falls

Well I went to Niagara Falls with a few friends, and it was awesome...

Among the highlights was my first experience in an international back-packing hostel, was actually pretty good I personally thought. Had a BBQ one night, which was good apart from the fact that they ran out of beef burgers and then sneekily switched to veggie ones - which I noticed and wasn't best pleased, o well, you can't win 'em all.

We went to Fallsview casino on one of the nights and I made $30 on the craps table, was well chuffed. Thing is we all dressed posh to go to the casino and found out everyone was wearing jeans and t-shirt - woops. but it was funny coz at one point some random guy had a problem with the slots and asked if me and him worked there! was pretty funny, I could have alleviated that man of his chips and done an oceans 11, but decided against the idea in the end; especially after the craps.

The falls themseleves were awesome as everyone knows, we went on the maide of the mist - of course. Was well good, got very wet, and got TWO ponchos. very happy about that, also picked up a few xmas pressies, wink wink. The best bit and worst bit had to be this random tourist info guy who was so chatty and enthusiastic he managed to get from the attractions of Niagara to having a girlfriend in Hull, England, and then finally through to how many shrimps you would get on a regular main dish at the wild mushroom?! He went on FOREVER. It was a struggle to get away. I felt sort of sorry for him really, but he was a bit of a nutcase.

It takes around 6 hours to get to Niagara Falls from Ottawa, and with a changeover at 4am in Toronto, it was tiring and went on for a while, but we did get to briefly see Toronto at sunrise which was cool. But it was definitely and awesome weekend! Thanks guys!

Oh and I also got to see Dan Akroyd's Star on the Boulevard! was well excited.
